Acupressure, meditation and visual imagery are methods that are known to induce deep relaxation and to create a fertile environment for recovery. You can use all of them or just one. And remember that stress reduction and deep relaxation are two separate actions but can be performed simultaneously.
Using these techniques can help you control pain, improve your immune system and increase your sense of well-being. They can also increase your ability to tolerate therapy and improve the quality of your life.
These techniques cannot be overused. You can use them for as long as you are comfortable. But don't struggle to keep doing them. Remember, your goal is to relax; you will notice that the more you do them, the longer you will be comfortable doing them. And once again, remember that there is no right or wrong way. Just "your way".
